Welcome To My English Wikipage

My first writting project was to write five similes pertaining to the topic of Halloween. A simile compares two different things using like or as. Here are some I wrote.

The bubble gum was as sticky as super glue.

The orange pumpkin was as round as a popcorn ball.

The scary ghost was as white as the bright white crystal snow.

The blood the vampire drank was as red as the crisp poison apple.

The scared cat’s hair was as straight as a pin that my mom was using to hem my Halloween costume.

Learning Project-Polar Bears

Global warming is making polar bears lose their homes.
Today 25,000 to 40,000 polar bears roam the arctic.
Male polar bears grow up to 10 feet tall and weigh over 1,400 pounds.
Females reach over 7 feet tall and can weigh 650 pounds.
In the wild polar bears can live to 25 years old.

Baby polar bears are the cutest animals ever!
Baby polar bears love to play.
I think polar bears like to swim in the arctic water.
I love polar bears because they look so cute.
Grown male polar bears seem scary to me.
