Welcome to My Fourth Grade English Wiki Page

My first writing project was to write five similes pertaing to the topic of Halloween. A simile compares two different things using like or as. Here are some that I wrote.
Ghosts are as white as fresh fallen snow.

Sometimes they’re scary and mean like a giant junk yard dog’s spirit.

Maybe they’re nice and pretty like a princess.

They float like a hovercraft hovering over the ground.

They moan like a sick child with a headache.

And they’re ghoulish like a creepy goblin.

There are about two hundred twenty species of owls.

Owls’ pellets are made of other animals’ bones and fur.

Wow, I didn’t know that Spotted Owls live in old evergreen forests with a dense canopy!

Owls are part of the raptor family, which includes Hawks, Eagles, and Falcons, but owls are the only ones that can’t move their eyes.

Try to find an owl at night because you can’t, most owls are nocturnal.

All owls hoot, but the Barn Owl makes a loud rasping hiss.

Most owls are nocturnal, but the Snowy Owl is not.

Most owls are silent fliers, but the Elf and Pygmy are not.

Great Horned Owls have ear tufts, but most other owls don’t have them.
